【摘要】:Thedeterminationofsurfaceappearancechangeinpileyarnfloorcoveringisusefulinqualityandcostcontrolduringmanufactureofpileyarnfloorcovering.Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbecausecurrentestimatesofbetweenlaboratoryprecisionareacceptable,andthistestmethodiscommonlyusedintradeforacceptancetesting.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,usethesamplesforsuchcomparativeteststhatareashomogenousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedisdesparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Thetestresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshallbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,aprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfoundeitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheassessmentofchangesofsurfaceappearanceofpilefloorcoveringsafterexposuretoactualorsimulatedfoottraffic.Thistestmethodappliestopileyarnfloorcoveringsthatare,orhavebeen,installed;laboratoryfloor-traffickedsamples;ortextilesfloorcoveringstraffickedbymechanicaltrafficsimulators.Thesubjectiveassessmentisfacilitatedbyuseofreferencescalesthatarebasedondigitalimagesofrepresentativepileyarnfloorcoveringstylesandconstructions.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
