【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresfortestingpressure-sensitiveadhesive-coatedtapestobeusedaselectricalinsulation.Thesetapesareclassifiedasfollows:1.1.1Class1Non-elastomericbackingsmadefrommaterialssuchas:Paper,flatorcreped,Fabric,uncoatedorcoated,Celluloseesterfilms,Polyethyleneterephthalate(polyester)films,Fluorocarbonpolymerfilms,Compositefilamentfilms,Polyamidefilms,Polyimidefilms,andCombinationsthereof.1.1.2Class2Elastomericbackingsthatarecharacterizedbybothhighstretchandsubstantialrecovery.Thesebackingsaremadefrommaterialssuchas:Vinylchlorideandco-polymers,Vinylidenechlorideandco-polymers,andPolyethyleneandco-polymers.1.2LaminatesofClass1andClass2backingsshouldbetestedaccordingtoClass1testmethods.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForspecifichazardsseeSection3.
